Divya Delhi: The highly awaited Mani Ratnam gangster movie Thug Life will hit theaters on June 5, 2025. With an ensemble cast and intriguing storyline, fan expectations are high. Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam produced the film, which cost INR 250–300 crore, according to Daily Jagran. Kamal Haasan made a profit-sharing deal with Mani Ratnam. The duo co-produced the picture and will not earn an advance salary. Instead, they will split income based on the film's box office. After Kamal Haasan's profit deal, Silambarasan TR (STR) earned the most. The actor who plays Amaran made Rs 40 crore. Trisha Krishnan, who plays Kamal Haasan's love interest Indhrani, has received Rs 12 crore for her role, three times her price from Good Bad Ugly, where she earned Rs 4 crore. At the audio launch of Thug Life in Chennai, Haasan said, “Uyire Urave Tamizhe” which means ‘My life and my family is Tamil’, igniting a controversy.
