Divya Delhi: Unbelievable, a young man in Agra used fraud to gratify his girlfriend's Diwali shopping frenzy. Shivam Gehlot used a bogus payment app to deceive a merchant in an Agra bazaar while with his girlfriend. This happened on October 25 at Kamala Nagar, near the police station. Gehlot bought clothes, personalized jewelry, and makeup at Women's Plaza in the market with his girlfriend. The bill was roughly Rs 25,000. Gehlot pretended to pay with a mobile app and exhibited a screenshot to trick the store. Shopkeeper's account never received the money. The shopkeeper reported the fraud to authorities. Police apprehended Gehlot after an inquiry. Gehlot confessed to defrauding the store using a bogus payment app during investigation. Police detained the suspect and seized a scooter. Gehlot is imprisoned.
