Divya Delhi: I've struggled to answer this question for a long time, probably because I was still dealing with impostor syndrome following Masaan. I received many scripts and studio interest after the film, but I often resisted. I wanted a job that challenged me and fit my ideals and search for purpose in a confusing world. Maybe it's okay that I don't know. The journey was shaped by several things. Short stories, anthologies, commercials, and TV series have been my work. After a decade, I'm delighted to be here. Experience is hard to express. It's an understatement to say the premiere was overwhelming. The audience gasped, sighed, and cried. Some hugged me and cried. My favorite part was how the film got personal for so many. Hard to shake the feeling. It was new to me. My breakdown felt odd and vain at first: who cries watching their own film? I think it was a release after four years of work and a decade-long wait. I was tearful watching Homebound at Cannes with my crew and a public audience for the first time. Watching brought back memories of my father putting water on the cement of our first house.
