Divya Delhi:Kerala Police Interrogate Malayalam Actor Mukesh for Three Hours in Rape CaseThe Special Investigation Team (SIT) questioned Kerala MLA and Malayalam actor Mukesh about his rape allegation on Tuesday. Two rape complaints were filed against Mukesh after the Hema Committee report. Kochi City police arrested and questioned the actor on September 24. He had anticipatory bail from a Kochi court. Others have been questioned besides Mukesh. The actor Jayasurya and Edavela Babu have been charged. Jayasurya's FIR may have been filed under Section 354 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which covers modesty offenses. The defendants face sexual and verbal assault charges. According to reports, the actress recorded her statement with the SIT after accusing them of verbal and physical assault on Facebook. The Justice Hema Committee Report released earlier this month has prompted reports of sexual assault in the Malayalam film industry. Several actors have accused industry men of harassment. Already 17 cases have been filed. Mohanlal also resigned as AMMA president.
