Divya Delhi: Indian Aerospace & Defence reports that Operation Sindoor shows how technical self-reliance is India's strongest shield and sharpest spear. The indigenous military manufacturing sector is more than a buzzword—it's a battle-tested reality that protects our nation. Over the past decade, India has grown from a developing economy to the world's fourth-largest economy, alongside Japan. India's $4.19 trillion economy defines global trends, not just follows them. Operation Sindoor demonstrates a national movement toward manufacturing recovery, strategic self-reliance, and cutting-edge innovation. This mission established India as a leader in domestic defensive technologies in the fight against cross-border terrorism. In 2014, India began its Make in India drive to break its passive role in global manufacturing. It allowed a more forceful, value-driven industrial strategy. The effort drew global manufacturers to India, making it the world's second-largest mobile phone maker by simplifying rules, improving infrastructure, and opening vital industries to foreign investment. Flagship schemes like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) are changing India's position in global value chains, however they need to be revised to improve PLI and simplify rules and compliances.
