Divya Delhi : Mohit Suri's 'Saiyaara' has exceeded ₹300 crore in India, remaining successful despite competition from 'Mahavtar Narsimha' and fresh releases. The film grossed ₹6.75 crore and ₹8 crore on its third Saturday and Sunday. The July 18 release of 'Saiyaara' has dominated the box office and public hearts in recent days. Mohit Suri's film has had a terrific two-week run at the box office and is currently in its third. It slowed down after 'Mahavtar Narsimha' released and picked up last week due to excellent word of mouth. On August 1, 'Son Of Sardaar 2' and 'Dhadak 2' were released, however 'Mahavtar Narsimha' fared better than them and 'Saiyaara'. Theaters have been crowded this weekend. 'Saiyaara' earned Rs 6.75 crore and Rs 8 crore on its third Saturday and Sunday. After missing Rs 300 crore over the weekend, it crossed it on Monday. The movie grossed Rs 36 lakhs with AM screenings on day 18, the third Monday. The entire net collection in India is Rs 300.11crore. New competition and 'Mahavtar Narsimha' held down the film's third weekend receipts. Overall, the figures are impressive, especially considering the film's success. Box Office India reports that 'Saiyaara's theatrical run would be cut short due to the release of 'War 2' in two weeks, which will reduce revenues. Still, 'Saiyaara' remains a blockbuster and one among Hindi cinema's most popular love stories. It is expected to conclude with ₹325-350 crore nett, depending on the performance of the third Friday.
