Divya Delhi: Veteran cinema writer Komal Nahta discussed his new essay on the industry's response to Saiyaara. The film, starring novices Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was a surprise smash among industry insiders. However, Nahta said all evidence pointed to a big success. He told a celebrity at producer Bhushan Kumar's gathering that Saiyaara was a ‘blockbuster’. He stated the star's face plummeted. I falsified merely the amount of films that individual has made to avoid embarrassment.” Recalling his contact with an actor at Bhushan Kumar's party, he said, “I wrote the article not to make fun of that person, but to tell the world how insecure this industry is. Even an experienced celebrity might feel uneasy about a novice. They shouldn't worry—they were once newcomers—there's enough room for everyone.
