Divya Delhi: A 55-year-old bus passenger allegedly slapped, harassed, and molested a woman journalist returning from work. The accused, Narayanpur resident Sanjay Basak, was aboard a private bus on Friday night and sat in the ladies' seat. He was accused. After sitting beside the woman in Ultadanga, the man began groping her improperly, reports said. The woman said, "I urged him several times to sit properly, but he was aggressive and questioned my morality since I was returning late at night and encouraged me to hire a cab. I tried to adjust, but the discomfort was too great, so I shouted at him, alarming him. Astonished by the woman's yelling, the man stood up and blocked her purse. She added, “The man picked up the bag and threw it at me. He slapped me and tugged at my clothes, which tore as I grew scared and shouted. Even after this, the woman called the police to report the occurrence.
