Divya Delhi: Kalki 2898 AD, the much-anticipated film featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, has taken the box office by storm with its impressive advance booking figures. According to reports, the film has sold approximately 37,000 tickets in top three national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis – for its opening day in Hindi version. The advance booking pace is expected to reach 1.35 lakh tickets by the end of Wednesday.

The film is also showing strong pre-sales in tier 2 and tier 3 markets, with MovieMax selling 1400 tickets and Sanjay Cineplex in Bihar selling 500 tickets for the opening day in just 24 hours. With this momentum, Kalki has a good chance of emerging as the top opener of the year in Hindi belts despite competition from the World Cup Semi-Final match between India and England.

The Telugu version of the film is also seeing excellent advance booking, with PVRInox and Cinepolis selling over 75,000 tickets for the opening day. MovieMax has sold 2400 tickets, while there is some movement for the Tamil version too. The film is expected to open with a start in the north of Rs 110 crore in India, with a potential to scale up to Rs 125 crore depending on its performance in Hindi markets, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The advance booking figures are outstanding across all regions, and a positive word-of-mouth will be crucial for the film's success in the long run.
