As he reflected on his path, Karan remarked, "The idea was to empower filmmakers and storytellers… to pay it forward when I began producing films (once I stepped into Dharma as an active part of the company), in 2003 with Kal Ho Naa Ho." Karan proudly revealed that this new picture is the 24th debutant filmmaker introduced by Dharma Productions, highlighting his dedication and his enthusiasm to develop fresh talent. He said, "Trivia for trollers: 90% of them are 'outsiders,'" in a subtly humorous response to the trolls. Karan assertively declared, "What I can say with all my heart is that this film is one of Dharma's proudest films!" despite admitting that box office success is unpredictable.
