Divya Delhi : IP University and the esteemed University of Bridgeport in the United States have inked an MoU. Professor Navarun Gupta, speaking on behalf of the American university, and Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, VP of IP University, signed the memorandum of understanding.The idea of dual degrees in engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels is central to the MoU's stated goals. Dual degrees in B.Tech and M.Tech can be earned by finishing a four-year undergraduate program at IPU and a two-year graduate program at an American university. Alternatively, one year of graduate study at IPU and one year at the American university could be used.At the event, IP University's VC spoke about how this MoU is only the latest move in the university's strategy to expand its influence around the world. He went on to say that IPU has plans to launch its own nursing dual degree program.Engineers are in high demand in the healthcare and medical fields, according to Prof. Navarun Gupta, and artificial intelligence is a major factor in this. Taking this into account, the two schools can work together on these fronts. In addition to offering joint degrees, the two schools will work together on projects involving research, instruction, training, internships, and the exchange of students and teachers.A delegation from the American institution, together with numerous senior officials, faculty members, and IPU Director of International Affairs Prof. Vijita Singh Agrawal, were present at the occasion.
