The Indian Embassy recommended Indian nationals to carefully evaluate the evolving circumstances before undertaking non-essential travel to Iran due to security-related developments during the previous several weeks. The embassy was also “advised to continue to monitor the latest regional developments and follow updated advisories issued by the Indian authorities.” The embassy offers opportunities for Indians in Iran who want to return. Indian nationals in Iran who want to leave can take commercial flights and ferries, it said. Since Israel launched ‘Operation Rising Lion’ on June 13, hitting Iranian military and nuclear installations, regional hostilities have escalated.
