Divya  Delhi:  According to the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), 16.10 lakh new members joined in February. In contrast to February 2024, the year-over-year analysis shows a growth of 3.99% in net payroll additions, indicating more employment opportunities and greater awareness of employee benefits, supported by EPFO's successful outreach efforts, the Ministry of Labour and Employment said in a statement. In February 2025, EPFO added almost 7.39 lakh new members. The growth of job opportunities, greater knowledge of employee benefits, and EPFO's effective outreach initiatives are all responsible for the acquisition of new subscribers. With 4.27 lakh new customers acquired in the 18–25 age range, which accounts for a noteworthy 57.71 percent of the total new subscribers added in February 2025, the data highlights the supremacy of this age group. According to the ministry, "this is consistent with the previous trend, which shows that the majority of people entering the organized workforce are youth, primarily first-time jobseekers." Additionally, the 18–25 age group's net payroll addition in February 2025 was roughly 6.78 lakh, a 3.01% increase over the same time in February 2024.
