Divya Delhi: Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra was relieved after he was granted travel anticipatory release by a District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate Court in Vanur, Tamil Nadu. After he made fun of Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde during a stand-up show the Habitat Comedy Club in Mumbai's Khar neighborhood, the Mumbai police had already issued him three summonses and asked him to come before them. Kamra claimed he had been receiving death threats and went to the Madras High Court to request transit anticipatory bail. He was granted protection from arrest until April 7 by the supreme court. In order to obtain bail, Justice Sundar Mohan requested that he appear in person at Vanur court. He received redress from the Vanur court.
