IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers Dips at Maha Kumbh Mela; Says

Divya Delhi: IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers visited Maha Kumbh Mela on 26 January and described it as an experience of tranquility in the bustle. Elbers posted about his visit on LinkedIn. He convened the largest human assembly on Earth, the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. According to him, 45 crores and 450 million visitors in 45 days. The magnitude is incomprehensible... similar to Europe and more than USA.” He wrote, “This weekend, on Republic Day I was at the Maha Kumbh Mela, celebrating India’s culture, spirituality and heritage.” Elbers said no phrase truly captures this place or its bright energy. He took a holy bath at 5 am amid chants and prayers. Elbers said, “No word, sentence, or picture can describe this place or its energy. I had a holy morning bath at 5am in the holy Sangam with over a million people, surrounded by chants, prayers, devotion, and humanity. Found an unexplainable serenity in chaos.” He stated he was honored and grateful to be part of something divine and a moment he will always remember. “Humbled and grateful to be a part of something so divine, once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will cherish forever,” Elbers said. Elbers also praised IndiGo for their Maha Kumbh work at Prayagraj airport. He said, “Thanks IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) team at Prayagraj airport for the outstanding work in such busy times.”
