Divya Delhi:  After the Pahalgam terror assault that killed 27 and injured many, local kids showed their bravery by being the first responders. A shawl seller named Sajad Ahmad Bhat was among these brave people. Videos of him carrying an injured tourist went popular on social media. Tourists visit Baisaran Valley, where the tragedy occurred. Bhat swiftly organized local aid after getting an urgent letter from Pahalgam Poney Association head Abdul Waheed Wani. “I learned about the attack while sitting at home. “I had to help our tourists,” Bhat said. Bhat and his comrades began treating the injured minutes after the incident, before the police and other authorities arrived. He responded, “We provided water to those who needed it and lifted those who could not walk. Humanity precedes all else. Since tourists are our guests, we must help them. Bhat recounted the terrifying scene while transporting the injured to local hospitals: "People were pleading for help..." When I saw visitors crying, I cried. Bhat and his fellow villagers' bravery and profound sense of belonging and hospitality toward travelers in difficulty demonstrate their bravery and kindness.
