Divya Delhi: In 2026-27, the CBSE will have two Class 10 board exams, according to the Union Ministry of Education. Officials expect the ministry to release a "theme paper" on the overhaul on Monday. The project corresponds with the new National Education Policy, which seeks to provide students greater choice, and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education's exam revisions. The MoE has urged the CBSE to propose a strategy to offer board exams numerous times a year to allow students to improve their scores and maintain the best score, as in many other countries, including the US.The reform's details were reviewed in a high-level conference led by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan with members from the ministry, CBSE, and Navodya Vidyalayas. India has around 27,000 CBSE-affiliated schools.The largest national school board in India, the CBSE, will hold the exam twice a year in March and May-June. The advocated reforming Class 10 and 12 board exams. Due to the increasing number of pupils, CBSE wants to adapt gradually. Thus, it will start with Class 10 kids next year.
