How A Quick Evacuation During ‘Chhaava’ Screening Averted Tragedy!

Divya Delhi:  Watching Chhaava at Select CityWalk Mall Cinemas in Saket,  prevented a horrible disaster. A fire during the play forced 170 people to flee quickly. The fire was extinguished swiftly, and police reported no injuries. The fire department's quick evacuation and response saved lives and injuries. Audi 3 of the  caught fire at 5:30 pm. Police reported smoke and sparking in the upper right corner side roof. Cinema security and personnel cleared the hall. All 170 audience members were removed safely. Firefighters and police arrived soon as dense smoke filled the auditorium and flames flashed near the screen, causing alarm. Moviegoers fled, their delight turning to panic moments later. Come to watch Chhaava, and the fire alarm goes off right before the movie starts,” one user said. “The nearby auditorium caught fire, forcing us to evacuate. Never before have I felt this.” Many were shaken as the entertainment transformed into a frenzied race for safety. A  Fire Services officer said six fire tenders were deployed to the fire at 5.42 pm after receiving a call. It was a tiny fire, and no one was hurt, he said. It was suppressed by 5.55 pm. Delhi Police received a fire report from Saket Citywalk Mall around 5.57 pm. The caller told police that some persons are trapped in the fire. Firefighters arrived quickly and extinguished the fire. “No one was injured due to the fire,” police stated. Delhi Fire Service received a distress call at 5:44 PM and sent six fire tenders to the scene. Before the fire could spread, firefighters and emergency crews acted quickly. Though the fires were extinguished swiftly, panic and dread remained. The event shook many and raised worries about public fire safety in crowded venues like movies.
