He told them to leave even though they had not received an official evacuation order, so she and her husband gathered their children and pets and hurried out. They made it to safety despite the strong gusts and the power outage. The evacuation app didn't update until four in the morning, so Mandy spent the night nervously monitoring it. The majority of the family's possessions were lost, and their house sustained significant damage. Mandy is grateful that they are safe despite being upset and is now concentrating on rebuilding.
