Divya Delhi: A man from Jalna in Maharashtra who recently returned from Jammu and Kashmir stated one of the Pahalgam terror killers spoke to him a day before the attack. “Hindu ho. “You don’t look like you are from Kashmir,” Adarsh Raut said to a man at a Baisaran Valley food booth on April 21. Raut told PTI that he was horseback riding in Pahalgam on April 21 and stopped at a “Maggi stall” for food when a man questioned if he was Hindu. He also informed Raut he didn't appear Kashmiri. Raut claimed, “The suspect then turned to his companion and said, ‘There's less crowd today. The Jalna resident considered the talk weird but didn't realize the full picture until 26 people were killed by terrorists the next day. “I connected the dots after seeing the NIA sketches,” he added. Raut told the NIA he documented his Kashmir experience via email. “I wrote everything I remembered. I also said network troubles prevented me from paying the Maggi booth owner. I got his number and paid him once I descended the hill, he said. Raut said the NIA hasn't responded. "I'll help them in any way if they contact me," he said. The National Investigation Agency has questioned victims' family members, visitors, and pony riders since taking over the Pahalgam attack case from the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
