Sources say the corporation may lay off sales, marketing, and operations workers. One source stated job losses could be "high single digits". Others reported higher numbers. One source told Moneycontrol, "The numbers could go as high as 20% of the Indian workforce."Another insider said a restructuring in the smartphone, consumer electronics, and home appliances businesses would result in important executives leaving. These unaddressed concerns have caused a holiday inventory buildup.Samsung reclaimed the top smartphone spot in India in 2023 after overtaking Xiaomi in December 2022.
