Divya Delhi:  The Balochistan Post reported four Baloch fighters slain in a brutal battle with a “state-backed” armed group in Barkhan. The confrontation lasted several hours in Rakni tehsil's Koh-e-Jandar. Residents said both sides used heavy guns throughout the firefight. Muhammad Noor of Tasp, Panjgur; Samiullah of Malai Bazaar, Turbat; Rasaan Qadir of Dansar, Awaran; and Shahzaib of Guni, Greshag died. Their bodies were taken to Rakni Hospital. The Balochistan Post calls the opposing organization a “state-backed death squad,” a word residents and activists use to describe pro-government militias protected by Pakistan's military and intelligence agencies. Pakistani authorities have not commented on the confrontation, despite its seriousness. During a Pakistani military incursion in Mastung district, significant fighting occurred in Spilinji. The Balochistan Post reported large army movements into the mountains late Thursday night. They arrived to intense gunfire and explosions, indicating a prolonged engagement.
