Divya Delhi:   Prior to the start of the five-match Test series against England on June 20, Gautam Gambhir will accompany the India A squad on their England tour. This is the first time in Indian cricket history that the coach of the senior team will accompany the A team on an international tour. In order for India's leadership to effectively prepare for Rohit Sharma's first Test appearance following the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Gambhir's participation with the India A squad will aid him in better identifying potential players. According to The Times of India, Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of India, plans to travel to England with the India A team in order to evaluate possible players before to the commencement of the Test series. Gambhir has discussed the issue in several meetings with BCCI authorities since returning from Australia. The Times of India reports that the coach intends to fly to England with the India "A" team in order to observe the reserve players. Because he shares the same idea of identifying wildcard potential that India utilized to win this year's Champions Trophy, Gautam Gambhir has planned this England tour to support the India A team. The resumption of India A tours has been identified as the top priority by three BCCI executives, including NCA director VVS Laxman, chief selector Ajit Agarkar, and Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir. According to BCCI sources, one of the primary keys to advancement is the revival of India's "A" tours. Since Rahul Dravid left the NCA without creating any independent stand-alone events, each Indian "A" cricket series has been restricted to a small number of travels. The need for more "A" tours is something that Gambhir believes is necessary. The team hopes to increase the amount of India A tours since they give up-and-coming players consistent exposure.
