Fifth Salman Khan Firing Case Accused, Who Paid Shooters, Arrested in Rajasthan.

DIVYA DELHI: Rajasthan's fifth Salman Khan housing firing suspect was detained by Mumbai Crime Branch. In Bandra, Mumbai, Mohammad Chaudhary gave Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta money and helped them recce the actor's home. Mumbai Crime Branch will present Chaudhary in court today and request custody. Outside Salman Khan's Bandra home on April 14, two motorbike-riders opened fire. Shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta were among four nabbed earlier. According to authorities, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol are wanted. In Mumbai Police custody, Anuj Thapan died. Thapan, accused of supplying rifles and bullets for the shooting, and Sonu Bishnoi were detained from Punjab on April 26 and remanded till April 30. Law enforcement has cited the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crimes Act (MCOCA). All four suspects, including Thapan, appeared before a special court on April 29 and were remanded to police custody until May 8. Thapan was found dead in the criminal branch lock-up bathroom at Crawford Market commissionerate complex on May 1. The family of Anuj Thapan has asked the Bombay High Court for a CBI investigation into his death. The police say Thapan murdered himself in the jail, but his mother Rita Devi filed a plea at the HC on Friday claiming foul play.
