Divya Delhi: Truck Hits Bareilly Teacher on Way To School, Killing Her. Police claimed a speeding truck hit a female school teacher's scooter in Hafizganj on Wednesday, killing her and injuring her colleague. They said they are searching for the truck driver who left following the collision. The tragedy occurred as Kohadapir resident Rekha (45) and male teacher Pramod Saxena (44) were traveling to Kasturba Gandhi School for Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, according to ASP Mukesh Chandra Mishra. The female teacher was flung off her scooter and fatally plowed over by the truck's back wheel in a tight culvert. The truck driver escaped, Mishra said. Local police seized the truck, he claimed. The ASP said the teacher was taken to the district hospital and Rekha was postmortemed. Police said they had filed a case and begun an investigation. Accident occurred while teacher was on her way to school for Gandhi Jayanti.
