Divya Delhi: The ECI will release the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly election schedule at 3.30 pm on October 15. Due to Diwali, Chhath, and Dev Deepawali, the poll panel may hold voting in the second week of November. The Maharashtra Assembly term ends on November 26 and the Jharkhand Assembly term on January 5, 2025. 81 Jharkhand seats and 288 Maharashtra seats will be contested in the assembly elections. The Election Commission will reveal the final election seat count. In its core committee meeting, the BJP discussed all 288 seats in the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, even though it only ran for 164. “BJP ko sampoorn Maharashtra ka khayal rakhna hai,” said a Maharashtra-incharge source. The insider said the BJP is taking a holistic approach, supplying data to assist them win and increase its seat count.
