Divya Delhi: The Supreme Court revised its ruling to relocate stray dogs, saying they will be sterilised and freed from shelters if they are not rabid or "aggressive". Bollywood actresses Raveena Tandon, Vir Das, and Rupali Ganguly applauded the change on social media. Raveena posted on Instagram Stories, “Dogesh bhai! Aage bahdo! We're with you! Better sense won. Thanks supremecourt. Now ensure vaccination and sterilization programs and funds are properly implemented.” Vir Das posted on X, “Thank you to the Supreme Court of India for supporting the sterilisation, vaccination, and safe return of our community dogs to their neighbourhood. Hopefully the municipality can quickly create dedicated feeding spaces and rely on many dog trainers and behaviorists in Delhi and countrywide for behavioral modification and community integration. It's great to know our voiceless creatures can rely on your sensitivity and balance. Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly wrote on her X account, “A big win for compassion! I appreciate the Supreme Court's decision to enable Delhi's stray canines to be sterilised and released. This protects people from rabies and overpopulation and gives voiceless pets dignity. True progress requires compassion and safety.”
