To promote harmony in the workplace, the government would need employee approval and protect against dismissal for refusing night assignments. The Supreme Court also rejected the ban on night shift limits for women last year. Instead, the Supreme Court stressed the state's safety duty. In Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Haryana, women can work night shifts under certain conditions. Delhi's verdict is part of a larger governance and labor reform push to make business easier. The amended law will let women to work at night in retail stores, salons, showrooms, call centers, consultant firms, IT companies, and other Act-regulated businesses. Secure transportation, female guards, CCTV monitoring, enough illumination surrounding boarding points, clean restrooms and lockers, and POSH Act-mandated internal complaints committees are among these.
