Her triumph restores the Bharatiya Janata Party to Delhi after 26 years. The first Shalimar Bagh assembly constituency MLA will be sworn in today at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Top BJP leaders and state chief ministers will attend. Parvesh Verma, who defeated AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi, may become Deputy CM. Bihar Dy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha remarked, "Delhi will get a Chief Minister who will ensure good governance as she has a lot of experience working at the organization," before Delhi CM Designate Rekha Gupta's swearing-in.
