Divya Delhi: While visiting Srinagar Defence Minister Rajnath Singh called ‘Operation Sindoor’ India's most major reaction to terrorism. This action was revenge for the Pahalgam incident, which killed civilians, predominantly tourists. Singh visited the IAF base and Badami Bagh cantonment in Kashmir to thank soldiers for their bravery in Operation Sindoor. Singh, joined by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Chief of Army Staff, stressed the importance of this operation in combating cross-border terrorism. Singh called Operation Sindoor India's largest response against terrorism. Terrorists target innocents based on ‘dharam’, and we respond against them based on ‘karam’.” His comments showed India's will to punish terrorists. The Defence Minister explained Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new terrorism policy, saying Pakistan would be punished. He cautioned, “No violation will be tolerated,” and that talks with Pakistan will only cover Pakistan-occupied Jammu Kashmir and terrorism.
