Divya Delhi: The Wilson Garden cylinder blast in Bengaluru killed a 10-year-old kid, injured nine others, and destroyed six houses, prompting a government investigation and relief efforts.A cylinder exploded in Wilson Garden, Central Bengaluru, this morning, killing a 10-year-old boy and injuring nine others. Six dwellings were destroyed by the cylinder's explosion. The explosion damaged numerous nearby houses in a densely populated region. The rescue operation continues as the injured are hospitalized.Police assume a cylinder gas leak caused the blast, but Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said it's too early to determine the cause, NDTV reported.A family of three lived in the house where the explosion occurred, the police commissioner said. The cylinder exploded while the man worked, injuring his wife and children. A neighbor reported the death.Siddaramaiah visited the bomb site later in the day to offer his sympathies to the victim's family. A child named Mubarak died. The bomb reportedly hurt no one else. Everyone is hospitalized and receiving care, said the chief minister.He promised the victims' families Rs 5 lakh to help them. He added that the government will pay for injury treatment.The cylinder burst call came at 8:30 AM. The Bomb Disposal Squad, Anti-Terrorism Squad, State Disaster Response Force, and fire brigade arrived shortly after. The police are investigating, cleaning debris, helping locals, and heading the inquiry.
