Divya Delhi: The CSK’s batting coach Mike Hussey explained that the team remains determined to secure victories in all upcoming matches before playing PBKS at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The IPL points table positions CSK in the last spot holding four points along with a -1.302 NRR. Out of 9 matches the team has secured two victories and suffered seven losses. According to Hussey this season presented distinct challenges because many players gained their moments while the plans did not materialise accordingly. The cricketers Rachin Ravindra and Deepak Hooda received his appraisal because they kept working hard to develop their abilities although they did not get selected for match competitions.  “Impressed with his (Hooda’s) attitude, in particular. He was genuinely happy when youngsters got chances. Hooda did a decent job in the last match, that wasn’t an easy situation to play in. I was really happy for him,” Hussey said on the eve of the match against Punjab Kings at the MAC Stadium here.  Since the start of IPL 2025 season the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have suffered 7 defeats alongside 2 victories in their first 9 games. The 4 points CSK has earned through their matches have left them with a negative net run rate (NRR) of -1.302. The team has continued to suffer defeats because it lost 4 out of its last 5 games before achieving its lone victory in the IPL 2025 season. The team maintained its bottom position in the table because they failed to translate their performance into actual wins throughout the season.
