Divya Delhi: Couple Reacts After Businessman Accuses Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra of Rs 60 Crore Fraud Shetty and Kundra are accused of defrauding a Mumbai businessman of Rs 60.48 crore in a loan-cum-investment agreement related to their now-defunct Best agreement TV platform. Mumbai businessman Deepak Kothari claims Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra, stole Rs 60.48 crore. An EOW probe is tied to a loan-cum-investment agreement for the couple's now-defunct online shopping portal Best agreement TV Pvt Ltd. It was through agent Rajesh Arya that Kothari was able to meet Shetty and Kundra in the year 2015, as stated in the complaint. Arya suggested he use a Rs 75 crore loan at 12% APR to develop the firm and avoid taxes by treating it as a “investment”. Kothari paid Rs 31.95 crore in April 2015, Rs 28.54 crore from July 2015 to March 2016, and Rs 3.19 lakh in stamp duty.
