Divya Delhi: Chester Bennington’s son, Draven Bennington, has started a new chapter in their life. The 22-year-old, whose father (the Linkin Park singer) died by suicide in 2017, shared on Instagram on February 14 that they came out as transgender last year. Draven said they’ve been transitioning and felt it was the right time to show themselves some love. They explained that for a long time, they tried to be someone they weren’t, but eventually realized they had to choose happiness and be true to themselves. Draven came out as transgender in August and started hormone replacement therapy, which they said was the best decision they’ve ever made. Draven received support from family and friends, especially from their mother, Samantha Bennington. They thanked everyone for their love and respect and said it helped them build the strength to love themselves. They ended the post with "Happy Valentine’s Day." Draven also shared memories of touring with their dad’s band, Linkin Park, in the Paramount+ series Family Legacy. They recalled enjoying rock climbing with their younger brother, Tyler, on the band’s off days.
