Divya Delhi: In the much-anticipated debut match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)  Rajat Patidar's Bengaluru franchise won by 7 wickets at Eden Gardens. In the run chase, Virat Kohli and Phil Salt set the stage for RCB. Virat Kohli showed off his skills in yesterday's encounter with a match-winning 59* that included 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. In addition, Rajat Patidar's captaincy was a highlight of the match. Once Quinton de Kock was out, the KKR hitters, led by skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Sunil Narine, hammered RCB spinners all over Eden Gardens' superb surface. The RCB skipper introduced Krunal Pandya in the middle and withdrew Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, and Rinku Singh to stop KKR. Patidar scored 34 runs off 16 balls, including 5 boundaries and a six, in the second innings. Patidar played spin well and assisted Kohli in the middle before being removed.
