Divya Delhi:  The 'Super Over' is usually exciting once a tie occurs to determine the winner. The BCCI expects the match to end in an hour. One unsuccessful DRS during Super Overs is allowed. In the captains' meeting, the BCCI stated, “As many Super Overs can be played until a winner is decided until one hour after the main match. Within 10 minutes of the main match ending, the first Super Over begins. Imagine a draw in the first Super Over. If so, the next Super Over must begin five minutes after its end. This can continue until a winner is determined one hour after the main match. Within 10 minutes of the main match ending, the first Super Over begins. If the first Super Over ties, the next must start five minutes later.” Super Over tiebreakers apply to cricket matches with no winner. Teams have one over of six balls in the Super Over to decide the winner by scorecounting; wickets do not matter. Two wickets end the innings, therefore the team must halt batting. Additional Super Overs will continue until one team wins after deadlocked Super Overs. A tiebreaker starts 10 minutes after the final regular match ends on the same field if authorities allow it or elsewhere if they decide.
