Divya Delhi:  BCCI announced that the Indian cricket team will receive Rs 58 crore for winning the Champions Trophy 2025. India won all their matches in the flagship tournament under Rohit Sharma to win their third title. India dominated the ICC event, winning four matches to reach the championship. India defeated Pakistan by six wickets to qualify for the final after beating Bangladesh by six wickets in Group A. The board dictated that cricketers must play domestic cricket to be eligible for national call-ups and central contracts. Thus, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and others played in the Ranji Trophy for their native teams. Days before the 18th season of IPL begins in Kolkata, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia emphasized that all players must participate domestically when possible. “This is so all young players can play with seniors. If veteran players are not playing international matches, it will help them stay involved "said. Despite Kohli's criticism, Saikia claimed the board still supports families accompanying cricketers on overseas tours.
