Divya  Delhi:  The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued the list of annual central contracts for the 2024-25 season, reflecting a number of substantial changes in player categories, elevation of rising stars, and dropping of certain regulars. The retainer arrangement remains A+, A, B, and C, although the BCCI hasn't released wage data. According to sources, Grade A+ players earn INR 7 crore, Grade A 5 crore, Grade B 3 crore, and Grade C 1 crore. The top Grade A+ includes India's biggest stars: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja. R Ashwin's omission is the sole exception, as he departed from international cricket late last year. Rohit, Kohli, and Jadeja have maintained their top status after retiring from T20Is after India's T20 World Cup 2024 success. The promotion of Rishabh Pant to Grade A is a major milestone in his return. Pant returned to play ten Tests, one ODI, and ten T20Is after being relegated last season owing to a long injury layoff from his 2022 car accident. KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, and Mohammed Shami also excel in Grade A.
