Divya Delhi: The hospital stated that Ayodhya Ram Mandir Chief Priest Acharya Satyendra Das (85) died today, February 12, 2025, at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) Lucknow. He was taken to SGPGI's High Dependency Unit of the Neurology unit after a brain stroke on February 3. He was first treated at a private hospital in Ayodhya, then brought to SGPGI for specialized care.The Senior Consultant of Neurology constantly monitored him. , he was seen celebrating the Pran Pratishtha ceremony's first anniversary at Ram Mandir. He was apparently suffering with serious health concerns like diabetes and high blood pressure. At the age of 20, he began on the spiritual road and became one of the most admired saints in Ayodhya.According to reports, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited to check on the health of Mahant Satyendra Das. The CM mourned the Chief Priest's passing in an X post, writing, "The demise of Acharya Shri Satyendra Kumar Das Ji Maharaj, the supreme devotee of Lord Ram and the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Shri Ayodhya Dham is extremely sad and an irreparable loss to the spiritual world."
