Divya Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that Indian students in Tehran have been evacuated for safety amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel. In light of the deteriorating scenario, other Indians who can leave the city alone have been recommended to do so. The MEA claimed in a press release that Indian students in Tehran have been evacuated by the Embassy for safety reasons. Other residents who can transport themselves have been advised to leave the city due to the situation. The statement said some Indians have been helped to leave Iran across the border, and the embassy is in touch with the community to offer any support. The MEA said, “The Embassy stays in touch with the community to provide all possible assistance. Given the unstable circumstances, more advisories may be issued.” Israeli and Iranian missile strikes continued on Tuesday as the war entered its fifth day. Civilians in vital places are attacked repeatedly. CNN claimed 224 Iranian deaths and 24 Israeli deaths since the fighting began. In Tehran, the Indian Embassy has requested all Indian nationals who are not in touch with the embassy to contact it immediately and provide their location and contact numbers.
