Divya DElhi:  Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney identifies Donald Trump as the primary economic danger arising from the current trade battle that the Republican president started. Carney made his remarks regarding the impending Canadian federal election during the debate that took place prior to April 28. He was debating with Pierre Poilievre of the Conservative Party, Jagmeet Singh of the left-wing New Democratic Party, and Yves-Francois Blanchet of the Quebec separatist Bloc Quebecois. He asserts that in order to sustain economic strength throughout the trade war, Canada requires cooperation amongst its provinces and territories. Singh and Blanchet agreed that the US needed to find strategic tariff solutions, but Blanchet wanted to know what concrete steps Canada had taken to help its people.
