Divya Delhi:'Any Disclosure Will Jeopardise The Process': SC On Kolkata Rape-Murder CBI Probe DetailsOn Tuesday, the Supreme Court warned that any disclosure about the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s probe into the rape and murder of a young doctor at a Kolkata hospital could compromise the process. It would not make detailed comments that would alert a person in doubt to beware. Disclosure of CBI investigations now could compromise officials' efforts to uncover the truth. The Tala police station SHO has been detained, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud remarked after reviewing the central agency's status report.“We saw the status report. The CBI has addressed all questions asked in the previous session. The Central Bureau of probe's probe to find out what transpired," he stated. Five days after the 31-year-old doctor's death was found at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9, the CJI stated the central agency was investigating if the crime scene was altered out of concern for evidence destruction. They are hindered by the five-day wait, Justice Chandrachud observed. The CBI submitted a new status report on the RG Kar Hospital rape and murder case on Tuesday. The central agency arrested Tala Police Station chief Abhijit Mondal on September 14 for raping and killing the trainee doctor on August 9.
