Divya Delhi: Cindy Rodriguez Singh, the parent of six-year-old Noel Rodriguez Alvarez, was apprehended in India on suspicion of his murder and was listed on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list. The FBI, working with Indian authorities and Interpol, apprehended her and is currently transporting her to the US to face charges in Texas. Nobody had seen Noel since October 2022, so in March 2023, someone asked for a welfare check, and that's when the matter came to light. The youngster had a number of developmental and health problems, according to the authorities. The investigation into the case began when Singh allegedly told investigators that her son was in Mexico with his legitimate father. After the welfare check was completed two days ago, Singh, her husband, and six other children took a trip to India. Noel was not a passenger on the plane, according to investigators. Following this, Singh faced charges of "capital murder of a person under 10 years of age" and "unlawful flight to avoid prosecution." The FBI named Singh to their "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list in July 2024. During her time as FBI director, Kash Patel lauded the international cooperation that resulted in her detention, making her the fourth fugitive apprehended during his term. The detention, he said, demonstrates that "justice has no borders."
