Divya Delhi: Bharti Airtel launched a new solution yesterday that would track and block malicious websites in real time across  platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, emails, web browsers, and SMSes. ‘When a customer seeks to access a site designated as harmful by Airtel’s advanced security system, the page is blocked and replaced with a page explaining the block,’ it said. According to a statement, the service is already available in Haryana and will soon be nationwide. Airtel noted that online fraud has gone beyond  frauds and deceitful phone calls, with millions of people falling victim to malicious online scams in recent months. Airtel said its AI-driven multilayered intelligence platform protects customers from all scams and fraud. The telco's threat detection software filters domains and restricts links across all platforms and devices. Our AI-powered solution examines internet traffic, checks worldwide repositories and its own threat actor database in real time, and disables fake websites. Our solution's accuracy has improved dramatically in 6 months of trials. We will work aggressively and decisively till our networks are spam- and scam-free, said Bharti Airtel vice chairman and managing director Gopal Vittal.
