Divya Delhi: The BJP Tamil Nadu president, K Annamalai, may soon resign from office as the saffron party looks to fortify its partnership with the AIADMK. There are rumors that the two parties may start discussing an alliance. Caste equations, not any kind of "punishment," are said to be the driving force behind this action. During a recent meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, Annamalai was apparently apprised of this significant development. The meeting's conversations cleared the path for a rapprochement between the AIADMK and the BJP. The function of the Tamil Nadu BJP President inside the party is still up in the air, but a more comprehensive picture might be revealed by the impending Tamil Nadu elections in 2026. In order to move forward, the BJP wants to strengthen its position in Tamil Nadu. However, the youthful Annamalai has made clear his support for and commitment to the BJP. Regarding his dedication to the party, he confirmed that he has no second thoughts. He said, however, that he is even willing to work as a mere cadre.
