TOI reports that numerous film bodies have urged producers and industry players to withdraw Diljit from Hindi films, citing “national sentiment” in light of his career choices. The Border 2 production source said, “Diljit has only filmed 3–4 scenes so far. The makers are considering replacing him because it's early enough to easily reshoot certain parts. Our team is handling the problem directly, and Ammy Virk has been mentioned internally.” However, no formal confirmation has been made. Hindustan Times reports that Diljit will not be replaced immediately. Diljit will not be replaced or removed from Border 2, according to a senior film source. Nearly half the film has been shot, making any replacement logistically impossible. His casting was confirmed nearly nine months ago, well before the recent terrible events.
