After Pahalgam Attack, LG Sinha Chairs All-Party Meeting Before Amarnath Yatra

Divya Delhi: After the Pahalgam terrorist incident, Jammu and Kashmir officials are worried about the Amarnath Yatra. An all-party conference at Raj Bhawan was held by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to oversee the safety and seamless conduct of the 38-day pilgrimage starting July 3. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, and representatives from the National Conference, BJP, Congress, CPI(M), Apni Party, and Peoples Democratic Front met to review yatra security preparations. LG Sinha informed attendees of the extensive security measures taken to ensure a safe pilgrimage. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah updated the gathering on his government's logistical and administrative efforts to protect pilgrims.With confidence, AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir stressed the need of civilian management and public mobilization during the trip. CPI(M) leader and MLA M Y Tarigami praised Jammu and Kashmiris, especially Valley residents, for making the pilgrimage successful each year. He assured the yatris of their hospitality and safety.
