Shabana, Shakeel's wife, said he beat family members who opposed the marriage. Shakeel repeatedly spoke to his son's bride-to-be for hours. Shabana and Shakeel have six kids. Since he was with her twice, Shabana suspected him. Her family first didn't believe her, but she and her son started gathering evidence against Shakeel.
