Divya Delhi:  The 8th Pay Commission was approved by the Union Cabinet in January. The 7th Pay Commission was established by the then-UPA government in 2014, and its recommendations were put into effect by the NDA government in 2016. In a recent exclusive interview with News24, former Indian Finance Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg stated that the government might accept the fitment factor of 1.92-2.08 under the upcoming Pay Commission. "I believe it (fitment factor) should be 2.86," said Shiv Gopal Mishra, secretary of the NC-JCM (National Council – Joint Consultative Machinery) staff side. It is being worked on by NC-JCM staff members and other specialists.
