Union Minister Jitendra Singh: India will Launch Chandrayaan-4 in 2027

Divya Delhi: In 2027, India will send Chandrayaan-4 into orbit to return samples of the moon rocks back to Earth, according to Science & Technology Minister Jitendra Singh. Among other responsibilities, at least two launches of the heavy-lift LVM-3 rocket would be sent into orbit to deliver and assemble the mission’s five components.Singh said, "Chandrayaan-4's goal is to collect and return lunar surface samples." He said the Gaganyaan mission to put Indian astronauts in low Earth orbit will launch next year.India's Samudrayaan will launch in 2026, sending three scientists in a submersible to examine the seabed below 6,000 meters. This is in line with Gaganyaan, India's other major space. Singh remarked, "This achievement would coincide with the timelines of several other landmark missions of India, including the Gaganyaan space mission, a pleasant coincidence in the Indian journey towards scientific excellence."PM Modi mentioned the Samudrayaan mission in his Independence Day speech. Singh highlighted on its potential to discover massive marine biodiversity and resources, which are important in achieving India’s economic and environmental goals.This year, India is also preparing to launch an uncrewed Gaganyaan mission named after the robot Vyommitra. Singh said that the Indian space sector has seen tremendous expansion in infrastructure and investments over the previous decade. The first launch pad was created in 1993, more than 20 years after ISRO was founded in 1969, according to Singh. The second launch pad came to be created almost a decade later in the year 2004. “Now, we are building a third launch pad and for the very first time for heavier rockets, and expanding.
